A Father of Blessing

Today we are living in an obverse society that claims to believe in the family, but does everything to destroy it. Women are encouraged to destroy their future family before they are even born. Men are seen as weak and un-necessary chess pieces in the game of life, and they have believed it! Too many children are growing up becoming the photo copies of the fathers they never had.

The statistics are profound, as we will see. But they all add up to one thing: the emasculation of men today. Television shows and movies bring us pictures of the man Hollywood wants them to be, and he is presented as either absent, violent, or imbecilic.

But that has never been God’s point of view. In fact, our scripture today tells us that there is a move by God today to bring godly men back into the forefront of the whole family scene.
