Turning a Nation to God
Scriptures: II Chronicles 15:1-6; II Corinthians 5:19; Romans 1:21-24
The story was told last week. King Asa seemed to be a follower of God. But his leadership lent a nation to failure before God. Why? (1.) The nation was a godless country; (2.) The Pastors and teachers of the land weren’t teaching God’s Word, and what His expectations for them were; and (3.) There was a lawlessness in the land. The first problem led to the next problem and laid the ground for the last problem. There was a crisis of gargantuan proportions (throughout the whole country.) There was only one answer, and it was almost too simple: when they sought God, He let them find Him, and He brought rest to their problematic situation. How does this relate to us today?
