A Mother's Legacy

Today we are celebrating the legacy of greatness that our mothers gave to us. More than any year previous, motherhood is being attacked. From the highest offices of the land which have said that a child belongs to the school system, to the celebration of the elimination of children at birth. The world outside our doors has tried with vigor to diminish her role.

One of the great things the Bible offers to us is the recognition of those things God deeply ingrained in each of us. Mothers give their children a nourishment that a father cannot compete with. The father has his role too, but a mom gives her children a diet of love that is desperately needed by her kids.

Today we’ll look at an early Church Pastor that learned at the feet of his mother and grandmother. They taught him and introduced him at an early age to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This young man’s impact on the early church was vast, and can be attributed to their careful godly oversight.
